Hydrothermal Vents
Hydrothermal Vents are ambient objects that generate naturally in the Ocean depths. They can also be crafted at a Naturalist's Workshop, allowing the player to place them manually. Naturally generated, and player-placed Hydrothermal Vents are indestructible and cannot be manually destroyed with a pickaxe or explosives but can be destroyed if lava makes contact with them. Hydrothermal Vents periodically emit black smoke particles which is purely visual. When right-clicking on the vent, it sends out a short-lifespan flaming geyser that randomly drops Deep Cascade Shards and Sulfur Deposits before quickly dissipating.
Hydrothermal Vents can periodically spawn Crinoids, Palecrabs, and Tubeworms while the player is within proximity with the vents. The type of critters that can spawn and the chances of them spawning from the vents are semi-random.

Notes
- If the player places a vent outside of water, it will still emit smoke but will be unable to spawn critters or produce items.
- The vents will stop spawning critters if all remaining NPC slots are filled.
Tips
- Due to the immense amount of critters that spawn from the Hydrothermal Vents, it can be a useful way of collecting fishing bait since the critters that spawn from the vents can be used as bait.
