The ModThis mod allows you to start a fresh playthrough with new custom origin stories, each featuring its own background; changing how your player is setup along with many other changes.
All of the mod's origins are accessible by default through the character creation screen; with a button that switches the menu to a player origin selection mode. From there, you can now choose whichever background you like to start off with and enjoy!
There are also a bunch of unlockable origins - play more to discover how to unlock these. New Beginnings currently adds 8 new items, all of which are obtained from the origin you choose to play as, such as Lumberjack.
