The Message in a Bottle is a Pre-Hardmode mount summoning item that can be found rarely floating in the Ocean. When used, it summons a Raft mount that can float on water, honey and shimmer. The raft can travel up to 36 mph while on liquids, though it moves extremely slow on land. While on the raft, it will increase the player's fishing power by 10.

Notes

• The raft does not work in lava and will disappear as soon it makes contact with it.

• Since the mount can float on liquids, it can be useful during fishing sessions.
