The Message in a Bottle is a Pre-Hardmode mount summoning item that rarely spawns naturally in the Ocean by floating on water. When used, it summons a Raft mount that can float on water, honey and shimmer. The raft can travel up to 36 mph while on liquids, though it moves extremely slow on land. While on the raft, it will increase the player's fishing power by 10.

Notes

• The raft does not work in lava and will disappear as soon it makes contact with it.
• For an unknown reason, the raft reduces all fall damage to 1, this is likely not intended.

Tips

• Since the mount can float on liquids, it can be useful during fishing sessions.
