Scarab Mount

The Scrab Pendant is a Pre-Hardmode mount summoning item that summons a rideable Scarab Mount. It is obtained from the Treasure Bag dropped by Scarabeus in Expert Mode.

It has a very slow initial roll speed but increases the longer the player rides it in a continuous direction, eventually rolling very quickly and going through enemies without the player taking contact damage. The invincibility lasts for as long as the player stays at the maximum speed needed to activate it, meaning the player can go very far without taking contact damage. It has a maximum speed of 46 mph while moving in a continuous direction. While rolling, it can deal 25 damage to enemies but will not inflict knockback.

Notes

• While rolling, it makes the worm digging sound and emits sand particles behind it.
• Despite the ability for the mount to grant contact damage immunity, it does not grant immunity to projectile damage, and getting hit by a projectile will reset the mount back to its initial speed.

Tips

• Due to its behavior, it is effective against invasions such as the Goblin Army and The Tide.
  • It is also effective against bosses that do not fire projectiles, such as King Slime and Eater of Worlds.
