The Shadow Collar is a Hardmode post-Plantera pet summoning item that summons a Shadow Pup to follow the player. The Shadow Pup is immune to damage from enemies and despawns upon player death. It is dropped by Hellhounds during the Pumpkin Moon event. Like Town Pets, the Shadow Pup can be pat on the head by right-clicking on it.
