The Rail-gun is a Pre-Hardmode tool that can be found in Asteroid Chests from the Asteroid Field. It summons two tethers that can latch onto tiles by pressing left and right-click. Said tether will generate a rail if another one exists and can slide down by holding the ▲ Up button. However, if placing another one that is far away will not be attached. The sliding speed of the rail is increased, affecting by the angle at which it hits at the edge but will move at a straight line. This does not apply to steep rails.
