Pain Monger's armor is a craftable Hardmode armor set made from Torment Shards. It takes a total of 36 Torment Shards to craft a full set.
It consists of a Pain Monger's Mask, Pain Monger's Breastplate and Pain Monger's Greaves.
- The Pain Monger's Mask provides 9 defense, 15% increased magic damage and 9% increased magic critical strike chance.
- The Pain Monger's Breastplate provides 10 defense and increases maximum mana by 60.
- The Pain Monger's Greaves provides 9 defense, 7% increased magic critical strike chance and 10% reduced mana usage.
A full set provides a total of 28 defense, 15% increased magic damage, 16% increases magic critical strike chance. 10% reduced mana consumption and increases maximum mana by 60. Its set bonus decreases defense by 4 and summons three surrounding Infernal Guardians when below 25% health. Infernal Guardians will increase magic damage by 50% and reduce mana cost by 25% while they are active. Additionally, being damaged will spawn multiple Infernal Embers that will explode and deal damage to enemies. These embers inflict the Combustion Blaze debuff.
