The Wayfarer's armor is a craftable Pre-Hardmode armor set crafted from Iron or Lead Bars and Durasilk Sheaves, making it obtainable only after activating the quest "The First Adventure".
It consists of a Wayfarer's Hat, Wayfarer's Rucksack, and Wayfarer's Pants.
The full set grants the following effects while equipped (this includes the set bonus):
- +6 defense
- +12% movement speed
- Immunity to the Darkness debuff
- Allows the player to obtain four stacks of the following buffs when their conditions are met:
- Killing enemies grants the Strike Strength buff, which increases the player's damage dealt by 3% per stack, up to a maximum of 12%.
- Mining ores grants the Explorer's Strength buff, which increases the player's mining speed by 5% per stack, up to a maximum of 20%.
- Breaking pots grants the Explorer's Vigor buff, which increases the player's movement speed by 5%, up to a maximum of 20%.

Notes
- Breaking any solid tile that shows up when a Spelunker Potion is active will grant the "Explorer's Strength" buff.
- This includes all ores and Gemstone Blocks, but not gems themselves.
