Chitin armor is a craftable Pre-Hardmode armor set crafted from Chitin. It takes a total of 36 Chitin to craft a full set.

It consists of a Chitin Faceguard, Chitin Chestplate, and Chitin Leggings.

• The Chitin Faceguard provides 3 defense.
• The Chitin Chestplate provides 4 defense and 5% increased movement speed.
• The Chitin Leggings provides 3 defense and 7% increased movement speed.

A full set provides a total of 10 defense and 12% increased movement speed. Its set bonus grants a dash that can be activated by double tapping any of the movement keys, briefly covering the player inside of a sand tornado.
