Chitin armor is a craftable Pre-Hardmode armor set crafted from Chitin. If the entire set is equipped in armor slots, the player will emit dirt particles as they move.

It consists of a Chitin Faceguard, Chitin Chestplate, and Chitin Leggings.

• +12% movement speed
• The ability to perform a dash by double-tapping the ◀ Left or ▶ Right keys, with a base distance of 30 tiles. While dashing, the player is immune to knockback and briefly covers them inside of a sand tornado which is purely visual.
