The Rod of Dunes is a craftable Pre-Hardmode summon weapon. It summons a Sand Warrior that attacks enemies by ramming back and forth with its spear to damage enemies on contact. If the Sand Warrior loses contact with the player or is far away from them, it will turn into a sand dust cloud to catch up with the player.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Rod of Dunes has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
