If you can manage to capture one, it may take for an excellent weapon. But do so carefully, for its fatal ichor spit can leave you defenseless.
The Bladetongue is a Hardmode enemy that rarely spawns in Crimson waters. It acts similar to most fish enemies, swimming towards the player to deal contact damage and can also inflict the Bleeding debuff for 20 seconds upon contact. It has a 1/2 (50%) to drop the Bladetongue weapon which is named after.
