Glitterflies do not feed often, as their palette consists of a rare fungus. In addition, they possess a venomous sting that causes intense disorientation and vertigo.

Star Sting
The Glitterfly is a Hardmode enemy that spawns during the Mystic Moon event. It flies around and attempts to stay above the player. It will periodically shoot star sting projectiles at the player which have a glowing orange trail. It starts off by firing one star sting before firing an extra two star stings, afterwards it has a short cooldown before it can fire projectiles again. It has a chance to inflict the Confused and Star Flame debuffs upon contact.
