These desert scavengers are lone wolves. They hunt antlions not to survive- but for sport, to establish dominance among their tribe.

The Antlion Assassin is a Pre-Hardmode enemy that spawns the Desert biome during the day. It attempts to walk towards to the player to deal contact damage, but it has the special ability to slowly turn invisible, leaving only the 2 glowing pixels that make up its eyes. After several seconds or upon taking damage, it instantly becomes fully opaque, then slowly attempts to become invisible again.
